Representative imageFrequency Converters
A frequency converter is a power-electronics unit that converts incoming AC mains into stable, regulated AC at a chosen output frequency and voltage.
Overview
A frequency converter is a power-electronics unit that converts incoming AC mains into stable, regulated AC at a chosen output frequency and voltage. ACE's static (solid-state) converters use a two-stage AC-DC-AC topology: the input supply is first rectified to a controlled DC link, then re-inverted via IGBT/PWM switching to a precise output frequency, with a built-in transformer setting the output voltage. This produces a true sine-wave output with tight voltage and frequency regulation, independent of input fluctuations — letting a buyer run 60Hz, 50Hz or 400Hz equipment from whatever local supply is available. Buyers choose these over rotary motor-generator sets because the static design has no rotating parts, runs silently, needs minimal maintenance, and delivers higher efficiency and far better output stability. Typical uses are bench/factory testing of export machinery, aircraft and avionics ground power (400Hz), shipboard and military loads, and powering any frequency-sensitive load from a mismatched mains.
