DV/DT Filter
Introduction
DV/DT Filters are mainly used for the protection of motor winding which are driven by IGBT Drives.
The high voltage spike generated by the drives tend to be very high depending upon the length of the cable from the drive to the motor, which ages the motor winding and leads to premature failing of the motor insulation.

Motor Drive Applications with short or medium motor cable length.
